Before you pack.

Watt to Pack is an independent reference for international travelers. We compare documented electrical ratings for exact hair-tool models with destination power supplies.

How to use the information

Match the model code and electrical market on your own tool. Check its label and manufacturer manual before use. This site cannot inspect your appliance, adapter or outlet, and does not certify an electrical installation. Do not use a tool when its identity, rating, condition or instructions are uncertain. A plug adapter does not change voltage or frequency. We do not recommend voltage converters.

Sources and corrections

Each supported model links to the manufacturer evidence used for its ratings. Check dates appear with the records. We withhold a compatibility answer when evidence is missing or overdue. If your label or current manufacturer instructions differ, follow the manufacturer and do not rely on this record. Source attribution does not imply manufacturer endorsement.

Privacy

The site sends limited activity counts: views of known public pages, tab visit starts, submitted complete and limited voltage checks and their outcome (counted separately), recommendation-link clicks, supported model or a broad missing-brand category, destination or the countries covered by a guide, and broad referral category. A tab visit is counted when a known page loads after at least 30 minutes since the last visit start in that tab. Separate tabs can count separately; these are not unique people. The browser keeps only a broad entry-source category and timing values in tab session storage to preserve attribution during navigation. No browsing history or full URL is stored there. If you opt out below, the browser stores only that preference locally so it applies across tabs and reloads on the same site origin. You can change it here; clearing site storage also clears it. It does not send the text you search, full referring URLs, names, email addresses or account identifiers. We do not set analytics cookies or create a persistent visitor ID. These counts help assess useful pages and shopping links. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

A random token for each action prevents duplicate counting. Tokens are unlinked to a person and become eligible for deletion after seven days; daily counts after 90 days. Cleanup occurs with the next accepted event, so records can remain longer if activity stops. Test activity is stored separately. Counts can include automated or repeated activity and are not customer or sales totals. The hosting provider handles ordinary web requests and may keep technical logs under its policies. Retailer and manufacturer sites have separate policies.

Activity count preference

You can exclude this browser from our limited activity counts. This is also useful when checking or testing the site. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control remain respected.

How we choose picks

Checker verdicts ("Conditions apply", "Outside documented ratings") come only from our exact-model evidence review and are never changed for commercial reasons. Buying picks use a lighter, labeled standard: the product's manufacturer or retail listing states a voltage rating that covers the destination. Each pick shows where that rating comes from. Always confirm the label on the tool you receive. Plug adapters change the plug shape, not the voltage, and we do not recommend voltage converters for heated hair tools. We do not publish prices; check the current price on the retailer's site.

Scope

Complete compatibility checks currently cover 11 exact US-market T3 models and 8 destinations. The library also includes 27 limited voltage checks, plus scoped guidance and research across 19 brands. Limited checks can identify a voltage mismatch but cannot confirm suitability for use. Research entries do not provide compatibility verdicts. A model name alone does not establish compatibility. Tool specifications can change between generations and regional versions. Availability, price, airline carriage and hotel outlet restrictions require separate checks.
